Refusing to give up in 2022

1/16/22: Austin Edwards was only able to compete in a total of eight racing weekends in 2021, but the lack of track time couldn't slow this driver down.

After Edwards began the season in dirt karts, he was given the oppurtunity to go Mini Stock and Pro 4 racing later in the season. There, he won both mini stock races with the help of Burgeson's HVAC, and obtained a 2nd place finish in the RCS prepared Pro 4.

In December, Austin was given the oppurtunity to take a hit at Legend car racing for the first time, where Austin would attempt to run a full season in the INEX Silver State Road Course Series Championship. In his first two attempts, Austin faced an incredible lack of horsepower, forcing him to fall short of a top 3 finish in those two weekends of action packed racing.

To kick off 2022, Austin made his way to Vegas for round 3, just past halfway in the season. That weekend he was provided with a car up to spec on horsepower, and Edwards wasted no time to adapt to his new found speed. Edwards would claim 2nd place in both heat races and a two top 3 finishes in the feature events despite heavy rear damage.

Unfortunately, the rear damage was beyond cosmetic after the Sunday feature, and forced him to miss the final race of the season and forfeit his spot as third in points.

Austin hasn't given up on his racing hopes despite the challenging two years he has had. He hopes to make many more legend starts throughout the west coast this season, but can only be made possible with marketing partners to bring along for the journey.
